A Movement toward family excellence

A child asked a sculptor working with a block of marble, “What are you doing?”  “Wait and you will see,” he responded.

A few days later, surprised and admiring the beautiful eagle the man had sculpted, the child asked, “Where was it?” “Inside the block of marble,” answered the sculptor.

“But how did you take it out?” “I only removed the excess marble.” “Do all rocks have eagles saved inside?” “No, there are many figures, and they are all different.” “How would I know if there is a beautiful figure inside?” “If you observe the rock carefully and study its characteristics, surely you will be able to imagine the sculpture that lies within.” “And are there monsters?” “Of course there are. It depends on whether you desire to find something beautiful or dreadful.” “What should I do if I only desire beautiful figures?” “You need only remove the excess marble with lots of patience and love, and you will see how magic will make the stone transform itself into an extraordinary sculpture.”

In this way, a leader becomes a sculptor of people and is able to help transform ordinary people into extraordinary human beings. The power of transformation, which has been utilized by the most successful leaders, develops people of quality and integrity. It is for this reason that the growth and development of the leader’s followers must be his most      important  occupation.

The influence of the family in the growth and development of the child is generally recognized; however, it is only recently that we have begun to value the     importance of making sure that parents receive the necessary

preparation for the education of their children.

I want to invite all those persons reading this article to make a   personal commitment in the quest for excellence and, like the   sculptor, bring out the best within yourselves and those around you in order to develop a more      amicable society for our children and for generations to come.

The primary function of parents is to motivate their children: motivate them to be a person of dignity and worth, motivate them to find their own options in life,  motivate them to live their own career choices. Parents should be a constant source of motivation in their children’s lives.

I would like to share with you the principles for excellence  with    the certainty that many of         you  will join this movement whose objective is to awaken a new consciousness within us   with  respect to our right and  commitment to realize our full and   infinite potential, and  to establish a universal call for    human excellence.

PRINCIPLES FOR EXCELLENCE

1)      As the fundamental principle, we defend liberty  as the only  framework within which a    human being can realize his full potential.

2)      Education based on values is the only way for every person to discover his vocation, and find his mission in life.

3)      We recognize that through our own decision making we become architects of our own world and destiny.

4)      We identify a natural infinite potential in every human being.

5)      We defend the right to life, and we belief that nothing and no one should attempt against the fulfillment of this right.

6)      We recognize that universal   values and principles mark our quest and are imperishable in all time and space.

7)      We promote the evolution of wealth as the only means to eradicate misery, so that every person can develop his own talent and become a generator of his own well-being.

8)      We must especially care for our children as they represent our genetic heritage and will permit humanity to continue.

9)      We know that adversities are  opportunities which fortify us to continue with our permanent  evolution.

10)   We are prepared to offer our   existence to establish a new    generation sustained on values and, thus, give our children a more worthy and just world.
